WATERVILLE — Police are investigating a burglary that occurred early today at Bolley’s Famous Franks on College Avenue and whether it may be related to other recent area burglaries.
Waterville Deputy police Chief Charles Rumsey said someone broke out the glass door to the hot dog business and a passerby around 2:25 a.m. reported the incident to police.
“We’ve been getting hit by a real spate of them (burglaries) lately,” Rumsey said.
The cash register at Bolley’s had been pulled off the counter onto the floor and less than $1 in coins had been taken, Rumsey said.
He said police are investigating whether the burglary is related to recent burglaries at College Quik Stop, Dunkin Donuts and T&B Celebration Center.
He asked that anyone with knowledge of the burglaries call police at 680-4700.
