VASSALBORO — Bethany K. Bernhardt of Vassalboro has been named the recipient of Maine Media Women’s $1,000 scholarship.

Bernhardt is a senior at Erskine Academy in South China. She is planning to attend the University of Southern Maine in the fall, focusing on news broadcasting or television and film. She is the daughter of Loring and Kim Barnhardt of Vassalboro.
