I am so disappointed in Colby College for inviting Tony Blair to give this year’s commencement address.

Awarding an honorary degree to Blair destroys the credibility of Colby. Blair’s legacy is that he committed his country to an unjust war of choice in which hundreds of thousands of people died, against the recommendations of his top advisers, when he most likely knew at the time that the intelligence about Iraqi weapons of mass destruction was falsified to justify war plans already in progress.

Blair is a most inappropriate choice for a commencement speaker since he will be most-remembered for this horrendously destructive decision.
