Staff report

WINTHROP — Emily McKenney pitched a complete game to lead the Madison Area Memorial High School softball team past Winthrop 6-4 in a Mountain Valley Conference game Wednesday afternoon.

Kayla Belanger and Kayla Booker each had triples for the Bulldogs (3-0).

Cat Ouellette and Krissy Douty each had two hits for Winthrop (0-1).

Erskine 8, Brunswick 1: Hannah Peabody had three singles and Hattie Welch had two doubles as the Eagles cruised to a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A win over the Dragons in South China.
Alyssa Gartley added two singles for Erskine (4-0).

Hampden 3, Skowhegan 0: Ashley Danforth pitched a two-hitter and Olivia Plaisted had three hits to lead the Broncos (3-1) to the KVAC A win in Skowhegan.

Nicole McDougall also had a double for Hampden.

Shelby Obert had a triple for the Indians, who dropped to 2-2.

Oak Hill 6, Waterville 4: Kortni Michaud had a double, a triple and drove in three runs as the Raiders beat the Panthers in a KVAC B game in Wales.

Michaud also earned the win, striking out six for Oak Hill (2-2).

Ally Forkey had an RBI double in the first inning for Waterville (1-2).

Monmouth 15, Carrabec 2: Reen Kahl had two doubles, drove in two runs and earn the pitching win as the Mustangs beat the Cobras in an MVC game shortened to five innings, in Monmouth.

Kylie Kemp added a single and a double for Monmouth. Kahl allowed one hit, struck out nine and walked three.
