RICHMOND — Leandra Martin threw her first career no-hitter as Richmond defeated Buckfield, 13-1 in a Class D softball game Thursday afternoon.

The game was ended by the mercy rule when Richmond scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Martin retired the first 13 batters she faced. Buckfield had three baserunners on errors and another on a hit batsman. Martin struck out nine in the game.

Ciarra Lancaster went 3 for 3 with a walk for Richmond. Danica Hurley and Lindsy Hoopingarner each added two hits.
