WINSLOW — Dylan Hapworth hit two home runs and had four RBIs as the Winslow baseball team beat 12-9 Leavitt in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game Friday.
Donald Camp earned the win for Winslow (4-1), striking out six in seven innings of work.
Gabe Smith had three singles and Mackenzie Michaud had two doubles and a pair of RBIs for Winslow.
Leavitt dropped to 2-3.
Mt. View 4, Nokomis 0: Kenneth McGray threw a complete game shutout to help the Mustangs defeat the Warriors in KVAC B play in Thorndike.
McGray gave up just four hits, walking three and striking out three for the Mustangs (2-3).
Tyler McCormick scored two runs for Mt. View, while Adam Higgins had three hits.
Justin Kasprzak had two singles for Nokomis (1-3).
Valley 18, Rangeley 5, 5 innings: Dylan Belanger hit two doubles and drove in four runs as the Cavaliers took the East/West Conference win in Bingham.
Seth Malloy hit a triple and a double and drove in two runs, and Caleb Wade had a pair of hits for Valley (2-1).
Carrington Miller hit two doubles, and Matt Hunnewell drove in two runs for the Cavs. Wade struck out eight in thr win.
Boys lacrosse
Messalonskee 15, Edward Little 4: Ben Weeks scored four goals to lead the Eagles past the Red Eddies in Auburn.
Nate DelGiudice had three goals and four assists for Messalonskee (3-2). Luke Vigue, Ryan Erskine and Jodan Holmes each scored twice for the Eagles. Jake Smith made four saves in the win.
Trevor Haley led Edward Little (2-2) with three goals.
Softball
Nokomis 18, Mt. View 5: Becky Orcutt doubled twice, tripled twice, and was the winning pitcher as the Warriors rolled to the victory in Thorndike.
Orcutt also drove in four runs for Nokomis (4-1). Danielle George added three hits, while Becca Boyce, Lacey Kent-Webber and Taylor Lovley each had two hits. Sara Packard did not bat, but scored four times as a courtesy runner.
Hailey Giggey had a double and a triple for Mt. View (0-5).
Rangeley 21, Valley 1, 5 innings: Ellie Brooks and Emily Carrier each had three hits as the Lakers defeated the Cavaliers in Bingham.
Rangeley (1-0) had 18 hits on the day. Taylor Esty doubled, tripled, and drove in three runs. Jenney Abbott, Sandra Campbell, and Chantal Carrier each had two hits. Chantal Carrier struck out four and pitched a five-hitter.
Sydney Vincent singled twice for Valley (0-3).
Leavitt 10, Winslow 7: Michelle Morin tripled and drove in three runs and the Hornets scored nine runs in the bottom of the sixth to pull out the Class B win.
Adrianna Newton earned the victory, striking out five and walking four in a complete game for Leavitt (4-1).
Jenn Poulin hit a grand slam and Allison LeClair hit a solo shot to lead Winslow (3-2).
