AUGUSTA — St. Michael School has announced its third- and second-quarter honor roll students, and winners of its Modern Woodmen of American speech contest.

Third quarter honors

EIGHTH GRADE — High honors: Luke Arsenault, Joel Bennett, Cameron Frawley, Paige Frawley, Melissa Garand, Abigail Ham-Thompson, Christina Hodgkins, Ryan Lutryzkowski, Kyle Morand and John Parent.

Honors: Sophie Boulet, Max Burger-Roy, Anne Gauvin, Andrew Keithley, Kenneth Moore, Matthew Murray, Savanna Poulin, Catherine Sanborn, Logan Testerman, Carla Tyce and Kyle Zembroski.

Speech contest winners

Students demonstrated their public speaking skills by taking part in a speech contest sponsored by Modern Woodmen of America.

Winners were Jacob Hickey, who placed first; Rachel Tooth, second; and Bryant York, third. Each received a trophy and a gold award pin, and their names will be engraved on the school’s speech contest plaque.

Gold award pins were also given to finalists John Parent, Maxwell Burger-Roy, Danielle Brox, Allee Cloutier, Melissa Garand, Emily Harwood, Andrew Keithley, Laura Parent and Emily Dionne.
