Marilyn Meyerhans, left, and David Worthing clean up tires from the side of Route 17 during the Manchester Conservation Committee’s roadside cleanup on Saturday morning. There were lots of cans, bottles, takeout coffee cups and other typical litter collected according to committee member Annie Reiter. She said that two of the most unusual items were a dollar bill, found by a volunteer from Kennebec Savings Bank, and an office chair.
