PITTSTON — Applications for the Maine Strawberry Queen pageant, which runs in conjunction with the Pittston Fair, are being accepted until June 1.

The pageant features two age groups: the Strawberry Princess, 10-13 years old; and Strawberry Queens, 16-20 years old.

Cash prizes of $750 for the queen and $500 for the princess will be given, in addition to other prizes.

The fair is held July 26-29 and the coronation will be July 29.
