TOPSHAM — Nicole Rugan was a single shy of the cycle and drove in four runs as the Rams cruised to a 14-0, five-inning win against Mt. Ararat in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference softball action Monday.

Sonja Morse added a homer, a triple and three RBIs, while Arika Brochu added a double, a single and an RBI for the Rams (11-0). She also earned the win, allowing two hits, while striking out seven and walking none. Alyssah Dennett chipped in with a double, a single and two RBIs, while Maggie Russell had a double, a single and an RBI for the Rams.

Shauna Williams had a double for the Eagles (3-7).

Erskine 16, Brunswick 0, 5 innings: Ashley Green struck out nine, walked none and gave up two hits in five innings as the Eagles cruised to a KVAC A win in Brunswick.

Alison Gauvin had a single and a double, while Taylor Boucher had a double and two singles for Erskine (9-2).

Brunswick falls to 1-9.

Madison 14, Hall-Dale 7: Alex Jarvis had a three-run triple and added a single to lead host Madison to the MVC win. Emily McKenney chipped in with two singles and earned the pitching win as Madison improved to 10-1.

Carylanne Wolfington led Hall-Dale’s (5-4) offense with a home run, a double and a single.

Gardiner 9, Belfast 2: The Tigers scored four runs in the third inning en route to the KVAC B win. Lily Chepke singled twice and drove in two runs for Gardiner while Kylee Granholm added two singles and Kristal Smith had two RBIs. Winning pitcher Brittany Rollins pitched four innings and struck out seven without allowing a hit. Gardiner is 6-5, Belfast is 0-10.

Spruce Mountain 11, Winthrop 1: Paula Despres had two singles and also pitched a complete game as the Phoenix won the MVC game in Winthrop.

Emily Acritelli added two singles and two RBIs, while Cassidy Couture had two singles and an RBI for Spruce Mountain.

Krissy Doughty had a triple and Cat Ouellette a double for Winthrop (3-5).

Lacrosse

Cony 18, Lincoln 7: Mia Diplock scored five goals as the Rams cruised to their sixth win of the season, beating the Eagles in Augusta.

Bailey Logan added three goals and an assist, while Hayley Quirion had two goals and an assist for the Rams (6-1). Heather Leet and Emily Quirion each added a goal and an assist, while Kevie Rodrigue, Josie Lee, Mary Kirschner and Morgan Leadbetter each added an assist.

Charlotte Nutt, Sally Gardiner-Smith and Katie Riley each had two goals for Lincoln (0-7).
