BIDDEFORD — Margaret Williams recently received the Sophomore Year Award for academic excellence at the University of New England’s annual awards ceremony.
A 2010 graduate of Skowhegan Area High School, Williams major is biochemistry with a minor in mathematics. She is also involved in The UNE Players as a cellist. She also recently received a fellowship for the Undergraduate Summer Research Program at Princeton University.
Williams is the daughter of Mary Chouinard, of Smithfield.
