FARMINGDALE — Carylanne Wolfington singled and scored on an error in the bottom of the seventh inning as the Hall-Dale High School softball team beat Madison 2-1 in a Mountain Valley Conference game Friday.

Natasha Brown followed Wolfington with a single in the seventh, sending Wolfington to third. Wolfington scored on an error on a ball hit by Eva Shepherd. Olivia Maynard earned the win for Hall-Dale (7-5), allowing one run on six hits while striking out six and walking none.

Emily McKenney struck out four and walked one for Madison (9-2). Courtney Taylor had a double, a single and an RBI.

Oceanside 10, Oak Hill 1: Kennadi Grover had a double, a single and two RBIs as the Mariners won a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game. Rachel Frye pitched a complete game for Oceanside (10-1), allowing one run on two hits.

Kortni Michaud doubled and Brooke LeBel had a single for Oak Hill (7-6).

Monmouth 7, Mt. Abram 0: Reen Kahl pitched a one-hitter, striking out 18 without issuing a walk to lead the host Mustangs to the MVC win.

Kahl helped her own cause with a double and a single for Monmouth (10-0) while Kylee Kemp added two doubles and Angie Bechard two singles.
Mt. Abram falls to 2-8.

Messalonskee 1, Erskine 0, 11 innings: Necole Harrison smacked a base hit down the left field line, scoring Emily York to give Messalonskee the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Harrison had two hits, while Kylee Knight led all hitters with three singles.
Messalonskee pitcher Kassi Michaud had a complete game shutout, allowing three hits. Messalonskee improves to 10-2, while Erskine drops to 9-3.

Gardiner 8, Waterville 1: Kristal Smith pitched a one-hitter while striking out five and walking two to lead the host Tigers to the KVAC B win.

Brittany Rollins had three singles for Gardiner (8-5) while Taylor Banister had two singles and three RBIs. Kylee Granholm chipped in with two singles.

Allie Forkey had a single in the fourth inning for Waterville (6-7).

Cony 13, Hampden 0: Cony’s Arika Brochu and Sonja Morse combined for a no-hitter in Hampden. Brochu went four inings and struck out eight and Morse three innings with seven strikeouts. Neither pitcher issued a walk. Olivia Deeves led Cony (13-0) with a double and two singles while Alyssa Brochu and Nicole Rugan each tripled and singled.

Winslow 6, Morse 2: Megan Richards doubled, singled and drove in two run to lead the Black Raiders to a KVAC B win in Winslow. Richards also earned the win, striking out 10 and walking two in a complete-game effort for Winslow (8-4).

Jenn Poulin and Jordyn Pomerleau each added two singles and Alli Leclair chipped in with a triple.  Morse falls to 2-10.

Baseball

Dirigo 6, Winthrop 4: Caleb Turner went 2 for 3, including a triple to give the Cougars the MVC win in Winthrop.

Mario Meucci went 2 for 3 with a double and a triple for Winthrop (6-4).

Monmouth 5, Mt. Abram 1: Alex Curtis had two doubles to lead the Mustangs to an MVC win in Monmouth.

Kyle Fletcher earned the win for the Mustangs (3-8), going all seven innings, allowing a run on three hits.

Josh Beedy had two of the Roadrunners’ (2-8) three hits. The other was a triple by Ethan Boyd.

Messalonskee 5, Erskine 4: Reid Nutter pitched a three-hitter and Trevor Gettig collected three hits to lead Messalonskee to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Nutter fanned five and walked four before being relieved by Jake Dexter in the seventh. Gettig singled twice, doubled and drove in a pair of runs. Zach Mathieu added two singles for the Messalonskee (7-5) and Sam Dexter a two-run double.

Ryan Pulver singled twice for Erskine (8-4).

Waterville 11. Gardiner 1: Lance Lefebvre pitched a three-hitter in his varsity start and drove in five runs to lead the Purple Panthers to th KVAC Class B win in Gardiner.

Lefebvre struck out seven and walked one and didn’t allow an earned run in going the distance. He added a doble and two singles to Waterville’s 12-hit attack. Danny Pooler singled three times for the Panthers (12-1) while Tyler Bouchard doubled and singled.

Travis Kelley doubled for Gardiner (7-5).

Morse 9, Winslow 2: Zack Groat had a pair of doubles and four RBIs to lead the Shipbuilders to the KVAC Class B win.  Winslow starter Donald Camp allowed two earned runs but was victimized by five errors.

Joe Hopkins singled and doubled for Winslow (10-3). Morse is 10-2.

Lincoln 9, Mt. View 1: Brandon Bonney pitched a complete game, allowing one run on three hits, while striking out six and walking none in the Eagles win over the Mustangs in Thorndike. Jake Aitken had a single and scored a run for Mt. View (3-10).

Boys lacrosse

Maranacook/Winthrop 12, Camden Hills 3: Jesse Evans had three goals and three assists to lead the Hawks to the Class B win in Camden.

Zach Glazier added three goals for Maranacook/Winthrop while Toby Smith and Luke Emery each had two goals and Gabe Giguere and Dan Condon one apiece. Zach Bessette made 10 saves.
Nick Linscott, Parker Lawson and Jack Orne each scored for Camden Hills. Aidan Gordon made 11 saves.
