RANGELEY — Ellis Brooks had five RBIs to lead Rangeley to a 6-2 win over Buckfield in East-West Conference softball action Tuesday.
Tori Letarte added two singles for the Lakers (9-2). Jenney Abbott added a home run. Chantal Carrier earned the win, allowing three hits and striking out six.
Abby Bragg had a double for Buckfield (5-5).
Oceanside 12, Waterville 1: On Saturday, Kennadi Grover went 5 for 5 as the Mariners won the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B game in Waterville.
For Oceanside (12-1), Jessie Veilleux added three hits and pitcher Rachel Frye was 2 for 4 at the plate and struck out nine.
Nicole Martin singled twice for Waterville (5-9).
Baseball
Skowhegan 7, Brewer 3: The Indians scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to take the KVAC A win in Brewer.
After Cody Moody drove in the go-ahead run, Dustin Warren hit a three-run home run to give Skowhegan (6-8) a 7-3 lead.
Kaleb Brown hit a solo home run in the fifth inning for Skowhegan. Taylor Bacon threw a complete game for the win, striking out five and allowing seven hits and no walks.
Nick Moore doubled for Brewer (6-8).
Buckfield 17, Rangeley 0, 5 innings: The Bucks put 10 runs on the board in the first inning and went on to defeat the host Lakers.
Alan Lebel pitched a three-hitter for the Bucks (12-0). Lebel also homered and hit two singles. Trevor Averill, Cody White and Jeff Pepin also had two hits apiece for the Bucks.
Rangeley is 3-9.
