WILTON — Maine’s first Equestrian Open Barn Day will be 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday at Grand View Farm.

It will be a day full of activities and demonstrations. Shannon Tomeny, a local farrier who specializes in bare foot trims for sport horses, will be on hand to trim some of the farm’s horses’ feet. Dr. Stephanie Heikkinen, veterinarian, will provide information on horse health.

The Giddy-Up and Go 4-H Horse Club from Temple will hold a mounted meeting with instructor Casondra Dillon of Madison. The club will be selling homemade horse treats.

The horse club and the farm will hold a tack sale, used saddles, bridles, boots, half chaps and more will be available for sale.

Refreshments and more information on horse-related activities in the Franklin County area will be available.
