WATERVILLE — The Waterville Senior High School girls tennis team beat Camden Hills 4-1 to win the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B title  Thursday at Colby College.

The Panthers swept the singles matches with Colleen O’Donnell, Olivia Lopes and Jayme Saulter all earning victories. The Panthers No. 2 doubles team of Melanie Bureau and Brittany Saulter also won.

Girls lacrosse

Messalonskee 17, Morse 8: Sarah Grenier had four goals and an assist and Sidney Gagne had four goals as the Eagles beat the Shipbuilders in Oakland.

Kristy Bernatchez added three goals and an assist for Messalonskee (6-5). Allison Fischang added a goal and two assists, while Sam Briggs had a goal and an assist, Haley Pelletier a goal and Kristen Kern an assist. Izzy Skinner made 12 saves to earn the win.

Sadia Crosby had three goals and Christina Stewart two for Morse (3-8).

Softball

Wiscasset 21, Carrabec 5, 5 innings: Six different Redskins had multiple hits as they defeated the Cobras in North Anson.

Wiscasset (7-7) scored 13 runs in the first inning. Carolyn Footer, McKenzie Chancellor, and Charlene Reed each had three hits, and Reed drove in four runs. Briana Gould, Sydney Morin, and Kayla Gordon each picked up two hits.

Ashlee Knight, Brittany Lewis, and Jessica Vaillancourt each had two hits for Carrabec (2-11).

Baseball

Wiscasset 7, Carrabec 3: James Grover had a double and two singles as the Redskins beat the Cobras in a Mountain Valley Conference game in North Anson.

Jason Weatherbee, Edward Stewart and Corey Hodgdon each added two singles for Wiscasset (8-6).
Christian Miller had two singles for Carrabec (1-12).
