WINSLOW — Kylee Alton drove in the game-winning run with a single in the top of the sixth inning to lead Maine Central Institute to a 2-1victory against Winslow in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class B softball game Friday.

Victoria Drake added two singles and Hilary Maloon drove in the other run for MCI (6-10). Courtney Fowler earned the win, allowing one run on five hits, while striking out six and walking one.

Megan Richards took the loss for Winslow (9-7) despite allowing just two runs on seven hits, while strikin gout five and walking one.

Messalonskee 6, Hampden 2: Phoebe Pelletier had a pair of hits, including a triple, to help the Eagles take the KVAC A win in Hampden.

Courney Veill had a single and a double for Messalonskee (13-2). Kylee Knight also had two hits for the Eagles. Kassi Michaud struck out seven and walked two for the win.

Hampden is now 8-7.

Richmond 14-5, Rangeley 0-9: Sandra Campbell and Seve Deery-Deraps each had two singles and three RBIs as the Lakers handed the Bobcats their first loss of the season, in the second game of a doubleheader in Rangeley.

Tori Letarte added two singles and an RBI, while Ellie Brooks had two RBIs in the second game for Rangeley (10-3). Chantelle Carrier earned the win, striking out four and walking two.

Lindsy Hoopingarner had two home runs for Richmond (13-1).

In the first game, Brianna Snedeker had three singles, while Ciarra Lancaster had a double, a single and five RBIs for Richmond. Jamie Plummer and Danica Hurley each added two singles.

Skowhegan 10, Mt. Blue 3: The Indians scored in five of the first six innings en route to the KVAC A win.

Taylor Johnson, Kaitlyn Theriault and Lexia Dorr had two hit apiece for Skowhegan (10-6) while Andrea Quirion belted a two-run homer.

Nicole Osborne led Mt. Blue (1-14) with three singles while Kaitlyn Wells doubled. Amanda Johnson went the distance for the pitching win, striking out eight.

Mt. Abram 23, Boothbay Region 1, 5 innings: The Roadrunners exploded for a 21-run fourth inning to take a 23-1 win over the Seahawks in Salem.

Britney Roundlett led Mt. Abram (5-9) with a double and a triple. Alix Howard had a double for the Roadrunners, while Jill Howard had a triple.
