PITTSFIELD — Sebasticook Valley Health was recently notified that the hospital exceeded national performance standards for clinical care and efforts to improve the patient experience. The organization will be honored at the VHA annual Leadership Conference in Denver, Colo., for winning the 2012 VHA Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence.
The award is conferred annually on health care organizations that achieve top performance on the clinical core measures established and tracked by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and in the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Health Providers and Services survey that measures patient satisfaction at hospitals nationwide. Sebasticook Valley Health is one of 28 VHA member hospitals to receive the Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence.
