On June 12, my vote will help send Bruce Poliquin to the U.S. Senate. As state treasurer, Poliquin has repeatedly shown a focused regard and respect for the value of taxpayer dollars.
His leadership in exposing and ending wasteful spending and abuse, first at the Maine Turnpike Authority and later at the Maine State Housing Authority attest to his drive, dedication and determination.
Poliquin makes no promises, is not a career politician and has delivered again and again. Within a few months of being appointed treasurer, he helped eliminate $1.7 billion in debt and helped drive the largest tax cut in Maine history.
Clearly, he understands how to starve the beast. This merits my wholehearted support, because the beast that is our federal government must first be starved of our money if we the people are to apply a leash. Poliquin is proven and will deliver results.
