FARMINGDALE — Ben Crocker singled, stole second, stole third and scored the eventual game-winning run on a passed ball in the bottom of the fifth inning as the Hall-Dale High School baseball team beat Mountain Valley 5-4 in a Mountain Valley Conference game Monday.

Crocker pitched a complete game to earn the win, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits, while striking out six and walking one for Hall-Dale (12-3).

Hall-Dale took a 4-1 lead with three runs in second inning. Zac McNaughton hit a two-run double and Matt Plourde an RBI single.

Adam Volkernick had three singles, while Zac Radcliffe had a double and a single for Mountain Valley (7-8).

Softball

Mountain Valley 13, Hall-Dale 7: Carylanne Wolfington hit a two-run home run and had three RBIs in the Bulldogs loss the Falcons in Farmingdale.

Kristen Ridge had a double, a home run, a single and three RBIs for Mountain Valley (9-6). Becky Dolloff added a home run, a double and two RBIs.

Hall-Dale falls to 8-7.
