AUGUSTA — Gov. Paul LePage will be hosting a series of job creation workshops this summer where business leaders can share their ideas on how to create jobs and improve Maine’s economy.

The free workshops will focus on specific industries. They kick off with a June 13 session in Brunswick that will focus on the fishing, marine resources and coastal tourism industries.

Future workshops will cover tourism, forestry, farming, information technology and manufacturing. Their dates and locations have not yet been determined.

The governor says he’ll be joined by department commissioners and senior leadership from his office to hear suggestions on how to improve the business climate in Maine.

LePage held a similar series of three workshops last fall.
