OAKLAND — A new farmers market will open today at 895 Kennedy Memorial Drive in the Pine Acres parking lot. The hours will be 2-6 p.m. Fridays through the summer.

Many vendors will be set up and selling items such as fresh vegetables, seedlings, meat and eggs. Fresh bread and homemade ice cream will also be available.
