FAIRFIELD — Hillary Owen, a student at Gardiner Area High School, was awarded a $1,000 Plum Creek scholarship.

Owen plans to attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, to pursue a degree in biology. She is the daughter of Jeffery and Debbie Owen.
