BOSTON — Craig Thomas Szela graduated from Harvard Medical School on May 24.
A graduate of St. Michael School and Cony High School, both in Augusta, Maine, Szela received degrees in biochemistry and German at Middlebury College in Vermont. While there he was a member of the swim team that won the New England Small College Athletic Conference championship. He did volunteer work for three months at the Mother Theresa Mission Clinic in La Victoria, Lima, Peru. While away from medical school Szela worked as a research assistant for Dr. Michael Porter, a Harvard University Business School professor and international consultant on Business Strategy and Medical resource management.
Szela will complete a Family Medicine Residency at Beth Israel Hospital, Manhattan, N.Y.
