FRANKLIN COUNTY — Heavy rain on Sunday caused minor flooding and the closure of seven roads in Franklin County, according to county dispatcher Diane Serino. The closed roads were:

* Farmington — Clover Mill Road at Russells Mills

* Jay — Morse Hill Road at East Dixfield Road; Quarry Street

* New Sharon — George Thomas Road

* Phillips — East Madrid Road

* Wilton — Pond Road at U.S. Route 2; Sunset Avenue

Officials didn’t know when the roads will be re-opened, Serino said.

According to dispatchers in Kennebec and Somerset counties, there were no road closures; however, there was minor flooding in Gardiner and Litchfield on Marston and Plains roads.
