WINDSOR — Three men are vying for two seats on the Windsor Board of Selectmen.

Chairman Ray Bates is seeking another three years on the board, and his challengers are Daniel Gordon and Joseph Greenwood.

Bates served on the Windsor Planning Board from 1985 to 1987, was selectman from 2000 to 2003, and has been chairman of the Budget Committee.

Gordon, who ran unsuccessfully for a selectman’s seat last year, is a retired MaineGeneral Medical Center employee and also has worked transporting school students enrolled in special education.

He has been the Windsor Day Committee’s parade coordinator and a trustee at North Windsor Baptist Church.
This is the first bid for public office for Greenwood, a retired salesman, who moved from Massachusetts to Windsor with his wife six years ago.

He is a volunteer at the Windsor Food Bank, and a member of the Lions Club and the North Windsor Baptist Church.
