GREENVILLE — Cody Laweryson pitched a complete game four-hitter to lead third-seeded Valley to a 4-3 win against No. 2 Greenville in a Western Maine Class D semifinal baseball game Saturday.

Laweryson struck out 11 and walked three to run his record to 4-0. Dylan Belanger doubled home two runs for the Cavaliers in the fifth inning.

Cody Mills singled home two runs in the sixth and Steve Bilodeau had a pair of singles and an RBI for the Lakers.

Valley (9-6) faces No. 1 Buckfield for the regional championship Wednesday at St. Joseph’s College while No. 3 Greenville finishes at 11-4.

Eastern B softball

No. 6 Nokomis 14, No. 2 Hermon 1, 6 innings: The Warriors banged out 14 hits and routed the Hawks in Hermon.

Nokomis pitcher Sara Packard allowed three hits in the first inning, then didn’t give up any the rest of the way. Packard struck out six and didn’t walk a batter.

Trailing 1-0, the Warriors broke through with five runs in the top of the third. Sierra Fortin had four singles and Taylor Lovley had three for Nokomis, while Megan Perry and Drew Graves each had a double and a single.

Nokomis (14-5) will play fifth-seeded Old Town at 3 p.m., Wednesday at Coffin Field in Brewer for the regional title. Hermon, which had allowed 19 runs in 17 games prior to facing Nokomis, finishes at 16-2.

Girls Lacrosse

Cheverus 10, Messalonskee 9: The Eagles played catch-up the entire game but never got the game-tying goal and lost the Eastern Maine Class A semifinal.

Messalonskee trailed 10-7 before scoring a pair of goals, then hit the post with a potential game-tyer.

Kristy Bernatchez scored seven goals for the Eagles while Sara Grenier scored the other two. Sam Briggs and Sydney Gagne each had an assist. Sadie Lyons led Cheverus with four goals while Meredith Willard scored three and Alex Logan two.

Izzy Skinner made eight saves for No. 7 Messaloinskee which finishes at 8-6. No. Cheverus (9-5) advances to the regional final against No. 1 Brunswick.
