FARMINGTON — Several NorthStar ambulance service employees were recently honored by the organization and industry.

Peter Wade, a Farmington NorthStar paramedic, was given the Excellence Award by Maine Emergency Medical Services in a ceremony in the State House in Augusta. The award recognized Wade’s contributions to emergency medical education and operations, as well as his years of consistent and excellent patient care.

Tom Doak was named NorthStar’s Emergency Medical Technician of the Year.

Above and Beyond award winners were: Felicia Harris, Farmington EMT; Jeremy O’Neil, Phillips paramedic; Vanessa Jordan, Kingfield EMT; Becky Morin, Carrabassett Valley paramedic; and Dave Ryan, Carrabassett Valley paramedic.
