PITTSFIELD — Sebasticook Valley Health recently celebrated its groundbreaking on a $9.5 million construction project to expand the hospital’s inpatient wing. With U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud, D-2nd District, as guest speaker, and various leaders from Eastern Maine Healthcare System, invited community members, and hospital employees in attendance, SVH President and CEO Victoria Alexander-Lane and the SVH Board of Trustees officially kicked off the 18-month construction project. The construction will be managed by Cianbro Corp.
Actual groundbreaking begins this month. The project is expected to conclude in early 2013, according to project architects Brasford and Gorrie.
