WATERVILLE — Police are trying to identify a man who robbed the Walmart pharmacy Tuesday night, fleeing the store with Oxycodone pills.
A surveillance photo of the robber around 7 p.m. shows him at the pharmacy counter wearing no hat, hood or sunglasses, making the robbery significantly different than others that have occurred recently in the city, according to police Chief Joseph Massey.
The robber is described as being 180-200 pounds and about six feet tall with short brown hair and eyes, Massey said. He appeared to be 26 to 32 years old and was wearing a light gray, knitted polo shirt and a pair of loose-fitting jeans, he said.
“He said, ‘This is a robbery and I have a gun; give me your Oxy 30s,’” Massey said.
When the pharmacist said he did not have Oxycodone in 30-milligram pills, the robber demanded 15-milligram ones, Massey said.
Police asked that anyone with information about the robbery or the robber’s identity to call police at 680-4700.
