Marilyn Canavan’s Compass (May 28) in the Morning Sentinel about St. Francis de Sales Church was beautiful. It should make people think. We destroy our landmarks. St. Francis de Sales is a landmark in the city of Waterville.

I now live in Fairfield, but I was brought up in Waterville and St. Francis was our church until they locked the doors.
