SIDNEY — Erika Russell and her daughter Ashley Russell, both of Sidney, will walk in the Susan G. Komen three-day, 60-mile walk in Boston July 27-29 to raise money for breast cancer.

They will walk in honor of Erika’s mother, LJ Lane (Savage), who lost a battle with breast cancer in 1996. The team’s name is Dessert First, as LJ often liked to spoil her grandchildren with hot fudge sundaes before dinner.

The duo will walk with LJ’s daughter-in-laws, Jo-Ann and Christina Savage and two granddaughters, Brittany and Kenzie Savage all of Moultonborough, N.H. Their goal is to raise $5,000.
