AUGUSTA — The University of Maine at Augusta Senior College is hosting a forum on Sunday, June 24, that aims to educate and inform people with health care issues, particularly provisions in the Affordable Care Act that will affect families.

The public forum is scheduled for 2-4 p.m. at Jewett Auditorium on the University of Maine at Augusta campus.

The panelists will include Stan Cohen, a Medicare advocate volunteer from the Southern Maine Agency on Aging; Anne Smith, Medicare rights advocate, legal services for the elderly; Gordon Smith, executive vice president of the Maine Medical Association; and Dyan Walsh, director of community services of the Eastern Area Agency on Aging.

The program includes presentations by the panelists with an opportunity for questions and answers as well.
