Voters in Pittsfield-based School Administrative District 53 approved the budget Tuesday and opted to keep Maine Central Institute as the district’s high school for the next decade.
The $10,116,538 budget passed by a total of 199 votes, 404-205, and the contract renewal passed by 248 votes, 430-182.
Voters in Detroit and Pittsfield approved both the budget and the contract renewal while voters in Burnham rejected both.
In Detroit, the budget passed 48-33 and the contract 50-30.
In Pittsfield, the budget passed 311-121 and the contract 333-104.
In Burnham, the budget was rejected 51-45 and the contract 48-47.
