WATERVILLE — The Waterville Public Library Business and Career Center recently announced the following programs and services:

* How to Prepare for a Job Fair Workshop, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, Colby Program Room, lower level.

This program will be facilitated by Patrick Therrien and is supported by the Maine State Library.

* Resume Writing Lab, 10 a.m.-noon, Tuesdays, Colby Program Room, lower level.

A resume expert will be available to help develop resumes. The instructor will be Bettina Cota.

* Job Search Support Service, weekly by appointment, Tuesdays or Wednesdays, depending on the week, Lunder Conference Room, first floor.

Participants can get one-on-one help with the job-search process and guidance on which of the job search services and workshops to use in the Waterville area.

* Job Seeking Assistance for Veterans is set for 2-5 p.m., Tuesdays by appointment at the Business and Career Center.

Veterans of the U.S. military can get one-on-one assistance with job-search activities, resume writing, and interviewing skills.

Veterans can schedule an appointment to meet with Doug Hudson between 2 and 5 p.m. at the Library by stopping by the Information Services Desk on the first floor or by calling 680-2603. Veterans may also contact Hudson directly at 624-5156 or douglas.c.hudson@maine.gov.

* Resume Reviews & Interview Tips Service, second and fourth Tuesdays, June 12 and 26 by appointment, Business & Career Center, first floor.

Local hiring manager Tonya Clark is available every month to provide employer feedback and guidance on resumes and interviewing technique.

* Aging Worker Initiative Orientation, 12:30-1:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, Colby Program Room, lower level.

Presenter: Susan Braziel, Seasoned Worker Navigator for the Central/Western Maine Workforce Investment Board.

* Essentials of College Planning Information Session, 1-4 p.m. Thursdays, June 21, Colby Program Room, lower level.

* Maine Educational Opportunity Center presents a free, interactive workshop that will discuss: basic steps for college enrollment and college options in our region, entrance requirements, readiness and transitional issues of adult students, admissions procedures and the financial aid application.
