BELGRADE — One person suffered what investigators believed to be minor injuries following a two-car crash about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday that halted traffic on Route 27 for about 30 minutes.

Kennebec Sheriff’s Office Deputy Jeremy Day said a passenger in one of the vehicles was taken to the hospital.

Day said one vehicle traveling west on Route 135 turned to go north on Route 27, colliding with a vehicle traveling south on Route 27. He said one vehicle ended up in the middle of the road, and both vehicles had to be towed from the scene near Christy’s Country Store.

Day said the accident may have involved a vehicle malfunction.
