GARDINER — Spencer Allen pitched a four-hitter to lead Gardiner to a 7-1 win in Game 1 and Post 51’s Isiah Fleming returned the favor in Game 2, leading the Messalonskee to the 6-0 win Saturday morning.

Allen went all seven innings, striking out six and also hit a home run. Jim Therriault and Ian Lane each had two doubles. Devin Warren took the loss. Sam Dexter doubled.

Fleming also went all seven innings, striking out nine. Zach Mathieu had two singles and a three-run double to lead Post 51 while Dexter had two singles.

Brady Dion doubled for Gardiner while Josh Mashke, Josh Farrin and Allen each singled.

Both teams are 3-1.

Madison 8,5, Amato’s 7,0: Madison made a clean doubleheader sweep of Amato’s on Saturday.

Kaleb Brown led Madison in the first contest, collecting four hits, including two doubles and had three RBIs. Ben Salley led Madison at the plate in the second game, smacking two doubles.

Cameron Nelson and Cody Moody each picked up wins on the mound for Madison.

Junior Legion

Cumberland 6, Somerset 4: Joe Jagolinder and Bill Brink each had two singles to lead Cumberland to the Junior Legion victory. Bert Buchholz doubled for Cumberland (3-1). Bob McAdoo earned the win.

Seth Molloy had a double for Somerset (1-3). Ethan Liberty took the loss on the mound.
