As we voted on June 12, my prayer was that we keep our expenses down all over our country in this time of fiscal uncertainty.

Then, I decided to take the time to think a little more about the attributes of Mitt Romney.

In his book, “I’m Mad As Hell,” author Howard Jarvis talks about his own Mormon upbringing and how meaningful it was. “Mormons are very self-reliant people and nobody can honestly say that the Mormon church hasn’t provided the best attitude, the best discipline, the best moral leadership, the best responsibility and the best Americanism more than any other institution in this country,” Jarvis says in the book.

In my opinion, there is no better example of family than the Romney family. The family is the essence of any civilization. This family is not broken by divorce or infidelity. Wow.

Finally, in my reading of the Boston Globe, I have gleaned all the superlatives that one needs in order to support Romney — even if that person is a Democrat. Romney leaves little to chance; he has achieved more than his father, George Romney; is smart as a whip (top of his class); believes in emotion-free crisis management; lives frugally; makes fastidious preparation and rigorous analysis.

I also believe that Romney is college kids’ best bet for a job.
