AUGUSTA — Youth MOVE Maine received a Maine Youth Action Network ImpACT Award June 6 in Hallowell for “exemplifying the systematic engagement of youth ages 12-18 in decision-making and planning,” according to a news release. The annual awards recognized youth and adults who are making an impact in their communities.

YMM expanded from one to five regions in the last two years and tripled its statewide number of youth participants under the leadership of Ryun Anderson. Manchester resident Ashalie Wark has coordinated the Kennebec Valley region since February 2011.

An artist in her spare time, Wark’s designs can be seen in YMM literature and on the new website: www.youthmovemaine.org. For more information, visit the web, Facebook or call 740-7850.
