DAMARISCOTTA — Trevor Hisler and Kam Nelson each had two hits in the second game of a doubleheader as Madison earned a sweep over Lincoln County, 6-4 and 4-1, in American Legion baseball action Saturday.
Nelson threw a complete game for the win, allowing one run on four hits and one walk.
In Game 1, Hisler had a double and two singles for Madison (5-1). Kaleb Brown doubled and singled for Madison, while Garrett Emery tripled and singled.
Lincoln is now 1-5.
Junior Legion
Post 14 1, Lewiston 0: Joe Leclair’s sacrifice fly in the first inning scored J.T. Nutting with the only run of the game.
Nutting went the distance for the win, allowing three hits and three walks while striking out four.
He was helped by strong defense, as Post 14 (6-1) turned four double plays.
Matt Poulin took the loss for Lewiston (5-2).
Somerset 13, Fayette-Staples 5: Derek LeBlanc hit a double and two singles to help Somerset take the win.
Cody Soucier and Ethan Liberty each had two hits for Somerset (3-3).
Dave Cooper had two hits for Fayette-Staples (0-7) of Saco.
