While reading the electronic news recently, I came across an interesting new twist in the game of politics.
We all know about wedding registries and the wish list of items newlyweds desire. It seems that the Barack Obama campaign has opened a campaign registry.
It works this way. Should a couple want to, they can ask that a donation be given to Obama’s campaign instead of a toaster, blanket, etc. to them. The message is that he needs money more than the couple to be married.
To me, this is really scraping the bottom of the barrel of ill-conceived ideas, and ranks somewhere in the neighborhood of taking the pennies off a dead man’s eyes.
