TOGUS — The Maine VA Health Care System in Augusta recently hosted a get-together with Girl Scouts and some of the veterans who reside at the Togus Community Living Center.
Girl Scouts of Maine partnered with the Maine VA Health Care System, who is distributing cookies donated during the 2012 Girl Scout Cookie Sale to veterans at the Togus Veterans Administration Medical Center and at their Community Based Clinics and Veterans Centers statewide.
“On behalf of our patients and staff, I extend our sincere appreciation for the thousands of boxes of Girl Scout Cookies. This is a tremendous donation in support of our many Maine veterans,” Lorna Hatch, chief of Volunteer Services for the VA Maine Healthcare System, said in a news release.
