I have been given the task of finding any relatives of Eugene J. Dennis from Winslow. What I have to work with I will share with you.
I received an email from a Patrick Leillier, of France’s Normandy region, who has adopted the grave of Eugene J. Dennis in the U.S. cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer, above the beaches of Normandy.
Nearly 10,000 Americans are buried in that cemetery, whose occupants died during the D-Day invasion of June 6, 1944.
The French people are showing their respect by adopting graves in the cemetery.
I’m hoping that anyone who is a relative of Eugene Dennis or knows any of his relatives will contact me. I will then forward that information to Leillier.
