OXFORD — Ben Ashline likes Oxford Plains Speedway. The track is pretty kind to the Pittston driver, too.

Ashline, an American-Canadian Tour regular, returned to OPS and won a 40-lap Late Model feature Saturday night.

“I’m not going to lie,” Ashline said, “I love that track.”

It’s the second victory at OPS this season for Ashline, who also won a 150-lap ACT race there on May 20.

Ashline started 28th but used the outside groove to take the lead for good midway through the race.

“Before the race, I said that if we could cut the field in half, it’d be a good night,” Ashline said. “So this feels good. We have loads of momentum going.”

Ashline led 17 of the 40 laps in a race that had two cautions.

Winthrop native Jeff White, the defending Late Model points champ at OPS, finished ninth.

Also at OPS on Saturday, Readfield native Pete McCollett finished fourth in a 30-lap Mini Stock feature.

Unity Raceway

UNITY — Dean Fuller of Albion won a 35-lap Late Model feature Saturday at Unity Raceway. Burnham native Brian Whitney finished second while Waldoboro native Will Collins checked in third. Points leader Ajay Picard, of Palmyra, finished fourth.

Ryan Robinson of Clinton won a 35-lap Wildcat feature and a 20-lap Monsta Mini race.

Other winners Saturday include the following: Nate Tribbett (Flyin’ 4), Steve Rackliff (Pro Four), Robert MacDonald (Challenger) and Kyle Jackson (Teen Thunder).

Pro All Stars Series North

SCARBOROUGH — Scott Dragon, of Milton, Vt., passed Kelly Moore on lap 113 and never looked back en route to taking the checkered flag at the Southern Maine Motors.com 150 on Saturday night at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway.

Trevor Sanborn finished second and Kirk Thibeau rounded out the top three. Moore finished fourth and Farmington native Cassius Clark was fifth.

Four-time defending PASS North points champ Johnny Clark was sixth.

Poncho Darveau of Chelsea won a 40-lap PASS Sportsman race Saturday at Beech Ridge as well.
