PALMYRA — Sebasticook Regional Land Trust will host a paddling trip at Madawaska Bog from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday.

Bring canoes, kayaks, binoculars, water and sunscreen. Land Trust naturalists Brandon Kulik and Peter Abello will guide the trip. Madawaska Bog, managed by the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, provides high-quality wading bird and waterfowl habitat. A number of rare bird species have been documented, including American coot, bald eagle, black tern and least bittern.

Participants must provide their own boat and personal flotation device. Pre-registration is required. To register and get directions to the launch site, call Sebasticook Regional Land Trust at 948-3766 or email info@sebasticookrlt.org.
