* Low Carb Connection’s annual Summer Barbecue and Parrot Party will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, July 19, on hospital patio. A free meal and the Get Moving program, a discussion about physical activity resources, barriers and steps to becoming more active, will be presented by a panel of RFGH health experts. * The New Balance Foundation and Somerset Heart Health will celebrate the success of Move More Kids! with a community day, 3-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at the Skowhegan Farmer’s Market at the new Somerset Grist Mill. Activities will include 1k and 5k fun run/walk at 7 p.m. at Coburn Park; tours of Somerset Gristmill; tours of Debe Trail; GPS scavenger hunt; Move More Kids Program highlights; community Zumba; climbing wall; mountain bike Pump Track demonstrations; and salsa making. * RFGH’s Rehab & Fitness Services presents Know Your Knee: Prevention of Sport-Related Knee Injuries, 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, in Conference Room 1. Join presenters Wendy Willett, PT and Scot Padelford, LATC for a discussion on ACL injuries, who is at risk and prevention. This program will benefit coaches, athletes and their families.

* The RFGH Rehab & Fitness Services Community Pool offers the following on-going aquatics exercise classes: arthritis/fibromyalgia aquatics, circuit training, water walking, and water aerobics.
