NORRIDGEWOCK — The Norridgewock Public Library recently received a grant from the Libri Foundation, a nationwide non-profit organization that donates new, quality hardcover books to small rural public libraries in the U.S. through its Books For Children program.

Eight other Maine libraries were also recipients, including New Portland, Paris, Phillips, Columbia Falls, Berwick, Monroe, Naples and South Thomaston.

New Balance Shoe Company made a matching monetary grant, which enabled the library to receive 82 books with a total retail value of $1,405.10.

Both fiction and non-fiction books for children and young adults are in the donated collection.
