Bellows conviction

A story on page B2 Thursday should have said that Charles Raymond Bellows was convicted of aggravated assault for striking a victim in the back with a board in Waterville last April. The victim also was stabbed during the assault, but Bellows was not charged with that offense. It was a reporter’s error.

Fiddler’s contest

A story about the East Benton Fiddler’s Convention and Contest in Thursday’s What’s Happening section should have included the date of the event, which is Sunday, July 29. It was a reporter’s error.

Cable TV dispute

An editorial, “New options for cable customers ‘in the dark,'” which was printed on Wednesday’s opinion page, contained a factual error. The dispute between WMTW-TV (Channel 8) and Time Warner Cable is about the amount of money Time Warner will pay to broadcast the ABC affiliate’s programming.
