Farmers across Maine open their operations to the public on Sunday for Open Farm Day. The event is a chance for visitors to learn about farm life and products. The following area farms are participating, according to the Maine Department of Agriculture. For more details, including driving directions, see GetRealMaine.com. Farms are open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., except where noted.

Franklin County

Black Acres Farm

123 Black Road, Wilton

Tours include grass-fed beef, pasture-raised Hereford, hogs, maple-syrup facilities and honey production.

Marble Family Farms

Displays include belted Galloways, chickens in a “chicken tractor,” sheep and lambs, greenhouses, organic crops, flower gardens as well as demonstrations on grazing and fencing.

Albion Cider Mill
