BAR HARBOR — Former envoy and U.S. Senate majority leader George Mitchell is leading the list of participants in a public forum on housing issues in Bar Harbor.

Today’s conference at the College of the Atlantic is hosted by the Bipartisan Policy Center Housing Commission and Jack Kemp Foundation.

It will feature Mitchell, a co-chair of the commission, Barbara Fields, the regional administrator of the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and other officials.

The commission is releasing new data showing the demographic trends impacting the housing landscape in Maine compared to the rest of the United States.
