I would like to comment about a recent letter from a woman who decided to boycott TV shows that depict gay characters, including “The Good Wife” and “Army Wives.”

She called it filth and said that people will become indifferent to it and accept this lifestyle as norm.

I find it incredulous that narrow-mindedness such as this still exists. There are so many people in this world who work hard, maintain a relationship and raise children and, yes, some of these couples are gay.

It’s time to look beyond sexual orientation and get to know the individuals.

There are good people in this world, and there are bad people.

We need to get beyond what people do in the privacy of their bedrooms.

I realize a lot of people condemn homosexuality because of their religious beliefs, and, to that I say, there is only one judge in this world and it is not them.
